GIRL SCOUT WHISKEY FLIGHT

This thoughtfully curated pairing brings together four iconic Girl Scout cookies and four distinctive American whiskeys, highlighting how flavor, spice, oak, and sweetness can elevate every bite.

Even better? $5 from every flight sold will be donated to the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital, supporting their work with D.C. public schools in lower-income areas to establish and grow Girl Scout troops. Sip with purpose and support the next generation of leaders.

THE PAIRINGS

Woodford Double Oaked & Tagalongs

The combination of peanut butter and chocolate in this cookie required us to find a whiskey that was richer in flavor and would hold up to the strong flavors of the cookie.   Woodford Double Oaked goes through re-barreling in a second new charred oak barrel which adds heightened oaky notes, but you can still pick up on the sweet vanilla notes.

Elijah Craig Bourbon & Trefoils

As we were pairing this shortbread cookie with a whiskey, we wanted to find something that was sweeter on the front end but finishes with more complex flavors. This small batch bourbon brings lots of vanilla, oak and caramel but has a long finish with a hint of spice.  

Knob Creek & Samoas

Samoas have the perfect blend of caramel, chocolate, and coconut which we decided to contrast with the slight spiciness of Knob Creek Rye.  This rye’s finish has heat upfront that compliments the cookie but fades with light rye that isn’t too overpowering and gives us a slight hint of butter.

Basil Hayden's Bourbon & Thin Mints

This cookie has been a fan favorite for decades and has become our favorite bourbon pairing with Basil Hayden’s Bourbon.  In addition to the caramel, vanilla, and baking spices of this bourbon, there is slight pepperiness on the palate that plays well with the minty cookie.   A great way to finish the tasting!
